Amicalola Falls is a breathtaking natural wonder located in the heart of Georgia. It is the tallest cascading waterfall in the state and features some of the most stunning views in the area. Many hikers and outdoor enthusiasts come to visit Amicalola Falls and take advantage of the trails and activities available. The most popular attractions are the West Ridge Staircase and the Appalachian Approach Trail. The West Ridge Staircase is known as “The Stairs” and consists of 604 steps that ascend near the steepest part of the falls. Climbing all the stairs is no small feat, but those who make it to the top are rewarded with a stunning view of the falls and the surrounding area. The Appalachian Approach Trail is a paved path to the bottom of the falls, and it is a great way for hikers of all skill levels to enjoy the beauty of Amicalola Falls.
